Remembering

Remember me, the girl you once told you loved so dearly. The one you’d rest your head upon her breast, feeling her chest expand and kissing your cheek with her warmth. You’d wrap your long arms around her slim figure and pull her into you, as if you commanded her to never leave. Did you forget me? Forget how she would make you feel like a man; a King in a world that lacks justice. A queen she would be; your queen you dreamed. Remember that? Or did memories fade like bones do to ash as they decay away. She’s still here…lost in her crimson filled thoughts and numbing pain staring at you. Hoping that you still remember.
