New York…..sweet land of freedom. Where a statue stands saluting immigrants. People smile in their fancy clothing but seems to always be in a rush. Rushing to live past the day; living for tomorrow…the future. Not only in New York do you find people squished in trains and pushing up stairs but here is where the race lies, the battle between rich and poor….right and wrong. New freaking York, where the “ghetto” is divided into class. The rich is isolated. The in-between pretend to have plans for the future, only to find out their lives can’t expand from pay check to pay check. Its too fast in New York, the heat too hot…some winter too long. It’s too sad in New York, the frowns on their faces, the anger in their hearts. New. York My sweet sweet, New York. Where lies thy peace?
